Nailhead Corkboard project

Memo-boards...
Can you have enough of them?
I love using them for tucking in all the photos and
special things that happen throughout a year...

So...I guess mine are more "memory" boards than memo boards...
Some may see it as a bit "messy"...
but I see the memo-board as an art form...
and when filled with tid-bits of special items or jewelry...
...it becomes ephemera-art.
We have several I have made in our office areas, closets
and in each of the girls' rooms.

They are easy to make as an upcycled item using existing plain cork boards
great fabric, upolstry tacks and ribbon (optional).
Paint the wood color of choice.
{I used AS chalk paint in Arles.}

Then paired it with this great pale yellow damask remnant fabric.
Upholstry tacks add a nice decorative touch.
Space the tacks evenly around the edge to hold the tucked-under fabric in place.
Perfect for a upscale, sophisticated bedroom or office.
